Why Diets Fail

Who don’t like to eat, especially nice food? There are many reasons why people over eat. Often this is attributed to emotional eating. They are eating not because they are really hungry, but because they may be suffering from emotional upsets like depression, anxiety or even frustrations. And eating makes them feel better, although it is just a temporary comfort.

Then, there are those who simply cannot resist the temptation of nice food satisfying their taste buds. And there are those who simply eat when they feel bored, like when they are sitting in front of the television for some time. Emotional eating can lead to eating disorders.

 

There are those whose diets are unbalanced. Too little fibre, too little protein and too little calcium in the diet can lead to health problems. For example, vegetarians tend to suffer from a deficiency of vitamin B12 which can cause tiredness, anemia and also effect on the nervous system. Then there are those who eat too much of bad carbohydrates in their diet.
